If you have already passed your CPR certification, you deserve to be congratulated. With over 300,000 people dying every year from sudden cardiac arrest we need more people to study basic first aid. So have you thought about becoming an instructor? This route isn’t for everyone. Not everyone will have the patience or people skills required to do this role. Dealing with the general pubic isn’t always fun. There might be some who would love to do it but can’t afford the time it will take to qualify and then to teach the classes. Generally instructors are volunteers but you may be able to find a paid position.

But if you are good with people, enjoy teaching new skills and like a challenge why not apply to be a volunteer today. The more qualified first aid instructors there are, hopefully the more people we can train in CPR and other resuscitation techniques including the use of AED devices.
